Supporting Breastfeeding Upon Returing to Work
(My Other Passion/Project)

Without the opportunity to remove milk regularly while away from her baby at work, a woman will cease to produce milk thus resulting in early weaning of the child.

No mother should be forced to stop breastfeeding due to lack of accommodations.

Nursing Mothers often face the barrier of appropriate space to express milk when it comes to returning to work. MamaMilk Express' goal is to eliminate that barrier.

My Story

When I was pregnant, I knew my plan was to breastfeed. I took a hospital-based breastfeeding class and I read the section about breastfeeding in "What to Expect, When You're Expecting."  I was all set right?

Well...the answer was no. It turned out that I retained one piece of information from my preparation and that was..."If it hurts find a Lactation Counselor." And so...that is what I did on my first morning home from the hospital.

Just as I was about to bring the baby to my breast that morning, I thought to myself "This is going to hurt" and I promplty reached for my phone and contacted a Lactation Counselor.

And with that, I was on my path toward supporting and empowering new mothers through their breastfeeding journey.
